Hello lovers and welcome back to the Good Stuff. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and I’m so excited to share with you three dreamy date ideas to make your holiday super duper special. Whether you’re in a relationship or have your eyes on someone you really adore, these ideas will bring a smile to your loved ones face.

1. Romantic Picnic

Surprise your partner with a romantic picnic! Since it's Valentine's Day, you'll want to go all out, so I'm going to emphasize the little touches that will make this picnic unforgettable.

First off, you'll want to bring an actual picnic basket — there are some cute ones on Amazon if you don’t know where to purchase one locally. Bring glasses instead of plastic cups—linen napkins over paper napkins.

Bonus points for a wooden charcuterie board, and be sure to pack a variety of small finger foods you can share — like berries, nuts, cheese, crackers, bread, olives, and any other dainty appetizers.

If you decide to bring a bottle of wine or champagne, make sure to pack the wine opener! It's the easiest thing to forget, and trust me, incredibly disappointing to set up your picnic and realize you can't open your favorite bottle of wine!

The exciting thing about planning a picnic is that you can set it up anywhere — you can go to a park, botanical garden, hillside, hike, beach, or anywhere overlooking a beautiful view.

The only suggestion I'll add is to pick somewhere quiet and not too crowded. Although I prefer an afternoon or sunset picnic, an evening stargazing in your backyard or rooftop can be just as lovely if you set up candles and string lights. Just be sure to bring an extra jacket or blanket in case it gets chilly.

2. Movie Night at Home

If done right, you will have the most romantic date night from the comfort of your own home.

To make this super special, you'll have to transform your space into a cozy romantic getaway. You'll want to set up a blanket fort, hang string lights, light candles, make popcorn (bonus if you get those cute red-and-white striped movie theater popcorn boxes), get your partner's favorite candy, and order your favorite takeout. Pizza is always a good go-to, but whatever food you choose is entirely up to you.

Since you're in the privacy of your own home, you'll have the option here to spice things up with some sexy pajamas or lingerie — whatever fits your fancy.

3. Dinner Date

Elevate your date night with a purpose-driven card game.

When was the last time you actively tried to get to know your partner by asking deep, thought-provoking questions? Don't worry, there's no judgment here. We've all been there. When you're with your partner all the time, especially after a few years of dating, you probably think you already know everything about them.

But I'm going to let you in on a secret… if you ask the right questions, you might be surprised to learn that you don't.

I think one of the most important ways you can deepen your connection and keep the romance alive in your relationship is to remain curious. Bringing a card game like We're Not Really Strangers to your Valentine's dinner date will spark meaningful conversation and leave you feeling more connected to your partner than ever.

The card game has three levels of questions and wildcards to deepen your relationship. Bonus — it kills some time while you're waiting on the waiter to bring your food. ;)

Valentine’s Day will sneak up on ya! So now is a good time to look at your schedule, book your dinner reservation, and order any necessary supplies you might need to set up the date night your relationship deserves.

Xoxo,

Zoë
